Ulterior motives

H. Roy Kaplan, an educator for more than 40 years and a U.S. Department of Education “Hero of Education” for his work in Tampa Bay schools, wrote an opinion column for the Tampa Bay Times advocating strong science education. He confuses the Next Generation Science Standards with Common Core (which are actually separate efforts) but his message is positive nonetheless.

One of the great strengths of our society is our freedom to debate such issues. But the time for debating has passed.

Modern science acknowledges the veracity of evolution. It lies at the very foundation of biological science and has illuminated our scientific and social perspectives, enriching our lives through understanding our past and lighting the way to our genomic future. And scientists around the world have issued numerous reports documenting the disadvantageous effects of man-made global warming. Recent estimates predict a rise in oceanic water levels in this century between 3 to 6 feet.

Taking a closer look at the allegations posed by H. Roy Kaplan, if his 40 years in education hash’t toasted his brain then he must have over dosed on left wing propaganda to validate his twisted ideology.

Common Core sounds like it will turn out to be the Obamacare of education. Another abomination promoted by our present dictator and his legions of pro-communist cronies. Aside from the obvious Marxism-Leninism template CC finds it’s foundation on, I find the fact that several of the educators involved in CC refused to give it their approval as a sign, the dumbing down of America will continue.

“Dr. Sandra Stotsky, Professor Emerita at the University of Arkansas served on the Common Core Validation Committee and refused to sign off on the English language arts standards. She cited poor quality, empty skill sets, the de-emphasis on literature and low reading levels. She is concerned that the reading level that will assume students “college ready” will be seventh grade level.

Equally disturbing is the prominence of nonfiction “informational texts” such as technical manuals, government documents, brochures and menus rather than highly regarded classic literature.

Dr. James Milgram of Stanford University, the only mathematician on the Common Core Validation Committee, refused to sign off on the math standards. Dr. Milgram maintains that the math standards will, by eighth grade, leave American students two years behind their peers in high performing countries.”

I think you’re missing the big picture here. Centralizing curriculum with the federal government involved is a recipe for disaster. It’s just another step closer to fulfilling the 45 communist goals written in 1958 for America’s destruction. Look at the proposal itself; the details were hidden until CC was ignorantly accepted by the states. Just like Obamacare, which won’t improve healthcare, won’t lower cost. Every indication is that the feds have decided to replace our educational system and health care with the same proven methods that exist in Cuba. Nobody can be this stupid. This has must be intentional. Look at CNN headlines, ‘Hospital delays are killing America’s war veterans’. Military veterans are dying needlessly because of long waits and delayed care at U.S. veterans hospitals,. In 2011 the total U.S. veteran population was only 22,676,149 and the gov can’t handle it. Do you think Obama and his 16,000 new IRS agents can do better?

Take a look at a few of Obamas CZARS; every one is an anti-constitutionalist, anti-2nd amendment, pro-homosexual, member of the Communist Party or a radical in their own right. http://seanlinnane.blogspot.com/2011/10/obamas-czars.html

The thrust of Common Core has no more to do with improving education than Obamacare has to do with improving health care. Our anti-freedom, pro-communist dictator is weakening our military and stacking his deck with like-minded leftists to replace your freedom with rules. Even his slogan FORWARD has communist roots. http://hackwilson.blogspot.com/2012/04/forward-communist-slogan-now-adopted-by.html. Russia can see it, “American descent into Marxism, is happening with breathtaking speed, against the backdrop of a passive, hapless sheeple,” You can’t see this?

The list of so called CC myths might bring some assurance to those who live in a box but I see a far larger plan in action.

By the way, the emerging anti-Christ world fits perfectly with end times bible prophecy.

  7. Jonathan Smith says:

    Chris,
Feel better now that you got that off your chest?

So let me sum up the tirade of pejoratives you have so ineloquently aimed at me.

“I’m missing the big picture here?” I have no understanding of American history; I am one of those who have ignorantly accepted the Common Core. I must be one of those passive, hapless sheeple,” because I am blinded to the rise of Marxism in the US. I obviously live in a box because I don’t posses your ability to comprehend a larger plan of action. Finally, I must not be aware that we are living in the end times because I have no understanding of bible prophecy.

    OOOOOOKKKKKK

I’m not so sure that any of my ineloquent ramblings were aimed at you.

Now that the Common Core cat is coming out of the bag there is a disturbed outcry throughout the country from thousands of parents and educators alike. With that in mind the passive list of myths from the Council of the Great City Schools is rather suspect. CC apparently isn’t the golden goose it was originally sold as.
