Science teacher of the year

Contratulations to Beth Giles, National Science Teacher of the Year.

LAKE WALES – A teacher at Polk Avenue Elementary School in Lake Wales has been named the National Science Teacher of the Year.

Beth Giles, who earlier had been named the Florida Science Teacher of the Year for 2006, will receive $10,000 and a weeklong trip to Washington, D.C.

The award was made by the National Science Foundation, along with the White House.
