This week is the home stretch for accepting applications for Florida Education Commissioner. Friday is the deadline to turn in the paperwork. This article says that State Rep. Joe Pickens isn’t going to apply. The story goes on to say:
His withdrawal leaves several front-runners for the position: Jim Warford, the state’s former K-12 education chancellor; Cheri Yecke, Florida’s current K-12 education chancellor; and Bill Moloney, the former Colorado education commissioner.
However, according to the official site of this job search, those who have actually turned in paperwork are: Joseph A Molloy, Dr. Simon Priest, Mr. Emanuel J. Klimis, Mr. Stephen A. Stohla, Dr. William J. Moloney, and James Kador. Notice that Warford and Yecke are not yet on that list.
