A pilot workshop gives teachers some hands-on science learning. Just in time for back to school!
Palumbo is among 13 Collier County Public Schools teachers who have been gearing up for the start of the school year by getting hands-on experience in environmental and marine sciences at parks, beaches and other places around Collier County.
For the past week, middle- and high-school science-related teachers participated in a pilot science workshop, dubbed Coastal Environment Institute for Teachers, at Rookery Bay National Estuarine Research Reserve near Marco Island.
