At the American Association for the Advancement of Science meeting, Berkeley’s Judy Scotchmoor introduced a new web resource called Understanding Science that’s intended to change the way that the nature and process of science are presented to students.
Scotchmoor of UC Berkeley’s Museum of Paleontology described the site in a talk at the American Association for the Advancement of Science meeting.  Scotchmoor said the effort grew out of Berkeley’s excellent Understanding Evolution site. When doing some audience testing of that site, she said that it became clear that the public’s issues went way beyond the primary topic. “It wasn’t an evolution problem,” she said, “it was a science problem.”
This is a “valuable resource.” and I would encourage any science teacher to include this in thier information archives.
What a great site!!! Thanks Jonathon I will put it to good use.
